This Christmas started off being what we call the "off" Christmas where the kids all go to the other spouses family. Susanne decided that she would go to the temple on Dec 22 so the scrambling started to find a way that everyone could be here. Airmiles were collected from all the siblings and pooled together to make it affordable for Deanna and Eric with family to come. Shalene and Jen thought a family dance would be a fun thing to do on Dec 21 seeing as everyone was leaving on Dec 23, so plans began to host the first ever Christmas FHE with all our families invited. It was even more amazing when almost all of them were able to make it. Darcy's mom and sister came with her children and grandchildren as well as my mom and dad with my bother and sister with most of her children. We had around 46 people there for an afternoon of fun and good food. Daniel brought the equipment and was DJ for the dance. He found songs the kids would know and ones for the big kids too. Santa paid a visit with presents for everyone except for Deanna, Christine and Susanne. OOps sorry about that girls so beware for next year.
